Artist's Statement:
Before watercolors came into her life, Gloria Mangoba was a full-time professional with the largest management and accounting firm in Southeast Asia (SGV & Co.), and later with an international organization in Washington, D.C. She was at the same time a devoted mother to five growing children.

After retirement, Gloria became attracted to watercolors. Her interest in watercolors emanated from the vibrant colors and the play of light and shadow she had observed in many works of art. She was fascinated by what can be achieved by watercolors, a medium so pliable in the artist's hands, yet so elusive and challenging. Gloria loves to paint, not just Nature's handiwork in landscapes but also man's contribution to such handiwork, such as churches, office building and houses. Gloria's works hang in private homes and offices in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., New York, Oregon, California and the Philippines. She has lived in McLean for the last 28 years.
